Youth Empowerment Program Initiative

Youth Empowerment Program Initiative Where your dreams become aspirations and your aspirations become achievements—that is the YEPI's experience.

YEPI is a non-political and non-profit organization that Empowers youth and women with Business and Entrepreneurship in an effort to addresses unemployment, poverty and violent Extremism in the Coastal Region of Kenya. Since our founding, we haven’t wavered from our promise:

Our youths, along with a handful of other dedicated volunteers, started the organization in order to offer free training in business skills accessible to our youths who are most at risk for unemployment and poverty: the orphaned, unskilled, disabled, single parents, and court-involved youth. A key assumption underlying YEPI’s work is that all individuals deserve the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential, regardless of disability, economic status, family circumstances or prior history. YEPI’s approach to offering training is within a context of supportive services that enable trainees to overcome typical barriers to achievement. We are YEPI, where curiosity finds inspiration; where selflessness becomes service; where small individual encourage others; where creativity and innovation open doors and change lives; and where diversity enriches us all.

We had the honor of celebrating , Mwanaidi Chamosi, during the launch of her new initiative, Beyond Status Initiative, a community-driven project that seeks to embrace, empower, and inspire young people, especially those living with HIV/AIDS.

At YEPI, we believe in empowering young people to create solutions for the challenges they see around them. Moments like this reaffirm our commitment to empower and support young leaders who are shaping a more inclusive future. Congratulations once again to Mwanaidi.
