Being part of the SIMPACT Conference was more than attending sessions ,it was stepping into a story of what simulation can do for healthcare.

For Us, SIMPACT 2025 was a chance to learn from others who are building sustainable simulation programs, to share the challenges we face here in Kenya and to dream of what’s possible if more hospitals and training institutions adopt this approach.

We return encouraged, connected and ready to take the next steps , working with partners, institutions, and health workers across Kenya to build a culture of readiness. Because when healthcare workers train in simulation, they carry confidence and clarity into moments that matter most.

Together, we believe in a future where preventable deaths are greatly reduced through preparedness and teamwork.

Day One of the SIMPACT Conference at Aga Khan Centre for Innovation was a remarkable start.

As the Kenya Simulation Network, we are honored to take part as a knowledge and innovation partner — a role that reflects our commitment to advancing simulation for safer, stronger healthcare systems in Kenya.

The day 1 sessions were rich with collaboration, learning and inspiration, all anchored in this year’s theme: Sustainability in Simulation. It is encouraging to see how practical discussions and shared insights are shaping the future of healthcare education.

We look forward to Day Two, filled with more opportunities to learn, connect and contribute.

Healthcare Simulation Week 2025
📅 September 15–19, 2025
Theme: United Through Simulation

Healthcare Simulation Week is a global celebration that highlights the vital role of simulation in making healthcare safer, more effective, and more efficient. Since 2017, this week has brought together educators, healthcare providers, and institutions worldwide to raise awareness and recognize the people driving simulation-based education.

This year’s theme, “United Through Simulation,” reminds us that whether you are just starting or already established, we are all connected through the shared goal of improving patient care.

We want to hear from you!

How do we start and set up a simulation center in LMICs?

Across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), one question keeps coming up:
“How do we start and set up a simulation center?”

Bringing an idea to life takes vision, strategy, and collaboration. The Kenya Simulation Network is creating space for these conversations — and on 10th September 2025, we’re hosting a Zoom session with the pioneers who established the very first simulation center in Kenya.

This is a chance to learn directly from those who have walked the journey, ask your burning questions, and gain practical insights that can guide similar efforts in LMICs and beyond.
