Hundreds of residents have benefited from a comprehensive free medical camp held at Gitine Health Center in Imenti south, Igoji east

The medical camp which aimed at accelerating access to qualify services.
The outreach offered comprehensive health services including Free consultation, Tb screening and chest x-ray, diabetes and hypertension monitoring, cervical cancer screening, family planning services, eye check up, pharmacy services, mental health and counseling, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling , nutrition counseling and SHA registration.

Similar outreaches will be held in different facilities.

We delivered successful free medical camp held at MITUNGUU HEALTH CENTER.

The camp aim to extend comprehensive health services to residents who often face barriers in accessing care.

Kanyakine sub county Hospital offered a wide range of specialized services, including cervical cancer screening, General consultation,Ear,Nose and Throat (E.N.T) screening,eye check-up,mental health and counseling,chest screening and chest x-ray,blood pressure monitoring, laboratory services,pharmacy services,HIV/AIDS Testing and counseling, Nutrition counselling and SHA registration. The hospital also provided referral support for patients requiring further management.

Outreach programs have been proven to bridge this gap by delivering health services directly to the people.

Residents of Nkubu market and neighbouring communities accessed Free medical camp at Nkubu G.K dispensary.
We recorded sustained turnout, with community members seeking medical consultations.

Free service available was:general consultations,eye checkup, laboratory services, blood pressure monitoring,chest x-ray and screening, cervical cancer screening, pharmacy services,E.N.T ,mental health and counseling, nutritional counselling,Dental clinic,HIV$AIDS testing and counseling and SHA registration.

The successful of the medical camp underscores the impact of bringing services closer to the people, easing the burden of travel while improving access to quality healthcare.

We are providing quality healthcare, and also proved to be an effective model for inclusive service delivery, leaving a lasting positive impression to the community under the leadership of our medical superintendent Dr. Evelyn Kawira.

Today Dr.Shadrack Mwiti, Member of Parliament south Imenti Constituency visited Kanyakine Sub county Hospital to assess the needs of the facility.

Our facility serves a wide population drawn from the Mount Kenya East region and plays a critical role in the provision of best healthcare services.

During the assessment, several urgent needs were identified, key among them being the elevation of the hospital’s status to a Level 5 facility, expansion of inpatient bed capacity, and the construction of a fully equipped casualty ward to handle emergencies.

The hospital also functions as a training centre for Imenti KMTC, which offers a wide range of medical-related courses.

The institution has recently introduced new programmes, including Nursing, Clinical Medicine, and Orthopaedics. To effectively support these courses, the management requested funding for the construction of a modern hostel and additional classrooms.

Honourable Dr. Shadrack Mwiti reaffirmed his full commitment to lobbying for adequate funding to transform Kanyakine Sub county Hospital into a Level 5 hospital that will meet the growing healthcare and training needs to the society.

Also present were Director of Health Administration Moses Baiyena, BOM chairman, medical superintendent Dr. Evelyn Kawira, Hospital Administrator Doreen Kimathi, Nursing Service Manager Jacqueline Manene, Hospital management Team and other key stakeholders.

Members of staff from Kanyakine sub county Hospital marked the end of the year with the celebratory gathering.

We thank the management team for organizing this event led by medical superintendent Dr.Evelyn Kawira

The end of year party brought together all staff from different departments, offering a rare pause from their demanding schedules to acknowledge milestones achieved over the year. The team widely regarded as the operational backbone of the hospital, took time to relax, share a delicious meal, enjoy music and dance, also practice team building in recorgination of their collective efforts.

Gracing the occasion our medical superintendent Dr. Evelyn Kawira commended the team for it's dedication and unwavering commitment to the hospital values and vision
Also chairman of board of management and some members praised the team for embracing the transition process with resilience and professionalism, ensuling continuity of services throughout the period.

operating on sidelines during launching of 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence Campaign in Meru county, the event was graced by Meru county First Lady H.E Miriam Mutuma and other leaders.
