Just concluded: NDOVU Cohort Study training for Bomu Hospital clinicians, nurses, adherence counsellors, laboratory technicians and program staff, unveiling a multi-country, multi-site research study.

Bomu hospital facilities are part of the study sites led by the University of Nairobi. The study seeks to investigate the optimal management of failure to Dolutegravir based treatment. Dolutegravir is the current recommended drug for all people living with HIV in the world. This study will generate the evidence to determine the best way forward after Dolutegravir fails to work.

Today, we hosted Kenyatta University students for an immersive training in healthcare logistics. They explored how the seamless movement of supplies, the efficiency of systems and accurate coordination form the backbone of quality patient care. Educating the next generation of health professionals includes mastery of the critical systems that operate behind the clinical scenes.

Our Bomu Hospital and Detrex Germ Protection Soap Hygiene & Wellness Activation brought the Mariakani community together today for a powerful session of health empowerment!

The experiential hygiene demonstrations and wellness talks ensured our caregivers got to learn how to protect their homes and loved ones with confidence.

This five-day training, graced by the County Director of Clinical Services, Dr. Mohamed Hanif Hussein, will equip participants to transfer knowledge to Community Health Promoters, who serve as key custodians in their communities. This initiative is supported by Amref Health Africa.
