Although incorporating exercise is not a must while you are eating according to your Metabolic Balance plan, many of our clients tell us that they have gained or regained their motivation to exercise.

Reality is, we don’t always have an hour or two to fit in fitness. The good news is, there’s growing evidence that short, intense workouts can have significant impact, whether your goals are weight loss, muscle toning, or just working up a sweat. Here are some ways you could exercise while your home.

Metabolic Balance is designed for everyone, regardless of how much or how little they exercise. The plan is designed so that you can lose weight and change your body even with minimal or almost no exercise. You can do sports after the strict conversion phase – but you don’t have to. Even though, we do recommend moving your body on a regular basis. Low impact activities such as walking, biking, and yoga are great for your body and increase mobility and flexibility.

Tawa Mushrooms

Button mushrooms (mushrooms of choice)
1 Onion , finely chopped
1 Tomato , finely chopped
1 inch Ginger , chopped
4 cloves Garlic , chopped
1 Green Chilli , slit (Optional)
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
2 teaspoons Coriander Powder (Dhania)
1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
1 teaspoon Pav bhaji masala
1 teaspoon Amchur (Dry Mango Powder)
Salt , to taste
Oil (phase 3)
3 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves , chopped

How to make Tawa Mushroom Recipe
To begin making the Tawa Mushroom Recipe, heat a kadai with oil (no oil for phase 2). Add ginger and garlic, allow it to soften. Once done, add chopped onions and cook till they turn translucent.

Add chopped tomatoes and sprinkle with little salt so that the tomatoes become mushy and soft.

At this point you can add all the spice powders including red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and saute well. Add chopped mushrooms and cook until the water is all evaporated. Check for salt and add if required.

Cook until the mixture becomes semi dry. At the end add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Our body consists of about 70% water and 99% of all metabolic processes take place in an aqueous environment. For this it is of course necessary that our body is supplied daily with the right amount of water. Healthy adults should drink at least 30 - 35 ml of water per kilogram of body weight daily. If it is difficult for you to drink water pure, then season it with mint or lemon. It is often easier to drink warm water that has been simmering quietly for 10-15 minutes. Get used to carrying a bottle with you at all times and drinking it in small sips throughout the day. This will ensure that you will be sufficiently hydrated throughout the day.

Foil Baked Salmon Recipe

Ingredients:
salmon fillets
1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil (Omit if phase 2)
Salt and ground fresh black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
16 asparagus spears (allowed veg content)
2 slices of onions
4 slices of lemon
1 tsp fresh parsley - chopped

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F.
In a medium bowl, place the two pieces of salmon. Pour 1 tbsp olive oil and sprinkle salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
Cut two sheets of foil. It has to be big enough to wrap the salmon and asparagus.
First place asparagus (about 8 spears) on the sheet of foil.
Layer fillets over asparagus.
Then top each with about 2 onion slices and 2 lemon slices.
Wrap sides of foil inward over salmon then fold on top and bottom of foil to enclose.
Place foil packets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes. (The time will depend on the thickness of your salmon and the power of your oven.)

Unwrap and using a large spatula, transfer the foil packets to plates. Serve warm

In our variant: Tomato slices on mozzarella with a pesto of fresh garden herbs and some oil (omit oil) and balsamic vinegar. It tastes wonderfully fresh!
