Let's shatter the silence around Maternal Mental Health! đź’” These myths do more harm than good, making moms feel isolated and ashamed.
At Nivishe Foundation, in partnership with AAMMH, we believe every mother deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.
Myth 1: "Mental health is a 'white people problem.'" FALSE! Mental health affects mothers from ALL backgrounds, cultures, and races. It's a human experience, not a demographic one.
Myth 2: "Being overwhelmed makes you a bad mother." FALSE! Overwhelm is a signal, not a judgment. It means you're doing a lot, and it's okay to need help.
Myth 3: "Mothers can't or shouldn't get a break." FALSE! Breaks are not a luxury; they are essential for a mother's well-being and ability to care for her family.
Myth 4: "Mental health is not as important as physical health." FALSE! Your mind and body are connected. You cannot have complete physical health without tending to your mental well-being.
Nivishe Foundation is dedicated to advocating for and supporting mothers through their mental health journeys. Together with AAMMH, we're building a community where no mother walks alone.
Share this post to help us normalize conversations around maternal mental health! Let's educate, advocate, and act.
