🚨 How much do we really know about Cardiac Amyloidosis in Africa?

Cardiac amyloidosis remains underdiagnosed across the continent, often masked by labels like β€œHFpEF,” β€œhypertensive heart disease,” or unexplained conduction abnormalities.

To address this gap, the Kenya Cardiac Society (KCS), in collaboration with CRK Clinical Research Key (NGO), Pan-African Society of Cardiology (PASCAR), and regional partners, is conducting a short survey to understand current awareness, diagnostic capacity, and clinical practice related to cardiac amyloidosis among healthcare providers.

πŸ•’ It only takes 12 minutes β€” but your response can have a big impact.

Your input will directly support the KCS Registry Program on Cardiac Amyloidosis Screening & Implementation Science, helping shape national and continental strategies.

Thank you for contributing to better diagnosis, earlier detection, and improved patient outcomes across Africa.

Together with KCS, PASCAR, and partners, we can uncover the true burden of cardiac amyloidosis.

A Call to participate in a survey study and CME on cardiac amyloidosis

Cardiac amyloidosis (CA) is an underdiagnosed cause of heart failure in Africa. This survey, coordinated by the Kenya Cardiac Society (KCS) in collaboration with CRK Clinical Research Key (NGO) and partners, aims to better understand the current awareness, diagnostic capacity, and management practices of CA among healthcare providers. The study is part of the KCS Registry Program on Cardiac Amyloidosis Screening and Implementation Science in Kenya, and its findings will guide future national and regional initiatives.

Please do take a moment and fill the 12 minute survey and also enjoy the free self-paced cardiac amyloid course/CME. The CME is also fully accredited by KMPDC for CPD points.

Thank you for your participation
