We kicked off the week with an Eye & Cataract Surgery Camp that restored clear sight to dozens of patients from various parts of Nairobi.

From initial screenings to surgery, our ophthalmology team, nurses, and support staff worked tirelessly to provide safe, dignified, and life-changing eye care.

We appreciate our partners and the Nairobi City County Government for supporting this initiative and helping us deliver accessible, quality healthcare to all Nairobians.

Today, we unveiled the Empiric Antibiotic Guidelines at Safari Park Hotel — a landmark initiative designed to strengthen patient safety, guide responsible antibiotic use, and set new standards in evidence-based care across Nairobi City County.

The guidelines provide a standardized, evidence-based framework to guide clinicians in the rational and effective use of antibiotics — a major step in combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and ensuring decent, dignified, and safe care for all Nairobians.

The launch, graced by Chief Guest Mr. Godfrey Akumali (County Secretary) and Dr. Irene Njeri Muchoki (Chief Officer for Medical Services), featured insights from CEO Mr. Fredrick Obwanda, Dr. Serah Gathu, and Dr. Francis Kaara, among other partners — reaffirming our commitment to research, patient safety, and responsible antibiotic use.

Together, we reaffirm our commitment to responsible antibiotic use, patient-centered care, and the County’s vision for quality healthcare.

Today, smiles returned to the faces of mothers at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital — all of whom have been released after facing challenges clearing their bills. 😊

This was made possible through the swift and compassionate intervention of our Governor, H.E. Sakaja Johnson, whose leadership continues to put the people of Nairobi first. 🙏

As a facility, we have set up a Social Health Authority (SHA) Help Desk to help expectant mothers and families register early for health coverage.

At Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, our commitment remains the same — to offer dignified, caring, and accessible healthcare to every family that walks through our doors. 💙

PARTNERSHIP IN ACTION!

Today at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, in collaboration with our development partner NEST360, our Board Members, led by Chairperson Dorcus Kemunto, together with our CEO Fredrick Obwanda including the area MCA Hon. Chris Wanjohi Githinji Mutumishi, officially broke ground for the construction of a brand-new 53-bed Newborn Unit ( ) 👶🏽🏥

This modern facility will enhance critical newborn care for families across Nairobi, saving lives and accelerating our journey toward zero maternal and infant deaths. 💪🏽

We extend sincere appreciation to Governor Sakaja Johnson and the Nairobi City County Health Department for their unwavering support and continued investment in Dignity in Healthcare for All Nairobians. 🙌🏽
