On 22–23 January, the KMA Young Researchers Academy (YRA) – Cohort 2 came together at Waridi Paradise Hotel, Nairobi, for an enriching 2-day workshop designed to deepen research capacity, spark collaboration, and strengthen mentorship among young researchers.
The workshop offered a dynamic and supportive space for learning, where participants engaged in structured sessions, interactive discussions, and practical exercises aimed at strengthening core research skills. Beyond the technical learning, the sessions fostered meaningful exchanges of ideas, peer-to-peer learning, and critical thinking around conducting impactful, ethical, and relevant research.
A key highlight of the workshop was the opportunity for participants to interact directly with experienced facilitators and mentors, gaining valuable guidance, insights, and encouragement as they navigate their research journeys. These engagements helped bridge theory and practice while building lasting professional connections.
This workshop marked an important milestone in the YRA journey—reinforcing KMA’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant community of young clinician-researchers and advancing a strong, collaborative research culture that contributes to evidence-informed healthcare and policy.
