Yesterday’s self-care session with MIDRIFT HURINET staff, Community Health Promoters (CHPs), and Nakuru County Department of Health officials was a powerful reminder that those who care for the community also deserve care. 🌿✨

Frontline responders carry the emotional weight of protecting and supporting others every day. Through guided reflective exercises, expressive wellness activities, and conversations on mental health and self-care practices, the team took a well-deserved pause to reconnect, breathe, and re-energize.

The session focused on emerging trends in mental health, employability skills, career pathways, and the growing demand for mental health professionals. A practical field experience bridging the classroom and the community. 🧩🤝

In honour of International Men’s Day, we were privileged to facilitate an honest and empowering dialogue on the realities men face — silent struggles, stress, su***de, and the urgent need for healthier coping and self-care.

A heartfelt thank you to Haven Of Dreams for the invite, Care Kenya :- the organizers, and the Department of Gender – Nakuru County for leading the way in promoting positive masculinity and men’s mental wellness.

💔 The reality:

8 out of 10 su***de deaths are men.

1 in 10 men silently battles anxiety or depression.

These conversations are not just important — they are necessary.

Stronger men create stronger homes and stronger communities.

🌿 Healing the Healers – One Team at a Time 💚

Today, Kivuli Wellness Kenya facilitated a Team Building and Wellness Session for the dedicated healthcare workers of Nakuru County Teaching and Referral Hospital, Orthopedic Department at Pebbles Resort and Spa, Elementaita.

Behind every healed patient is a team that also needs healing, rest, and reconnection. Our sessions are designed to reignite teamwork, enhance emotional resilience, and strengthen workplace relationships—key elements in sustaining a healthy and motivated healthcare workforce.

Research shows that nearly half (49%) of healthcare workers in Kenya report burnout, while 1 in 3 experience high stress levels linked to workload and emotional exhaustion.
By combining expressive therapy, fitness, play, and reflection, we create safe spaces where teams can unwind, rebuild trust, and rediscover joy in their work.

Together, we’re turning awareness into action for a healthier, more compassionate workforce. 🌱

Sports and Wellness Day at Nakuru Prisons 🏃‍♀️💪
This past Wednesday, Kivuli Wellness Kenya joined officers from all ranks across Nakuru Main and Nakuru Women’s Prisons for a vibrant Sports Day — an initiative commemorated by the Officer In-Charges of both facilities.

The event, designed as a fitness and well-being strategy for prison officers, featured team games, aerobics, and expressive therapy sessions facilitated by Kivuli Wellness Kenya. It was a day of connection, laughter, and rejuvenation — reminding everyone that mental and physical wellness go hand in hand.
