It is easy to look away when the issue does not affect you when you are afforded the privilege but we are asking you to take a step , learn more , show up in the ways you can , talk about femicide in your circles and let’s put an end to this crisis.

In this posts we are going to talk about some of the harmful narrative that are used to propagate and justify causing harm to women. These are things we have all heard of and most times we have learnt to accept them as fact . In this post we are calling out these narratives and statements . They are nothing but justifications for femicide that concentrate on putting blame on the victims while the perpetrators and criminals remain unaccountable.

We start a new year with a heavy heart as we wake up to the murder of our fellow women each waking day. We are currently facing a national crisis of Femicide and we are not going to stay quite about it .

Kenyan women deserve to live free from violence. It’s time to address femicide head-on and create a safer future for all. We are going to do a series educating on what femicide is and have a serious conversation about it. Please tag along with us and let us learn and unlearn some of the things that make this such a rampant issue.

Change starts with information and the right information will bring better change .
