🎗️ January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️

Cervical cancer is preventable, detectable and treatable when caught early. Yet, it remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women especially in low and middle-income settings.

🔹 What you should know:
🦠 HPV is the leading cause of cervical cancer
💉 HPV vaccination protects girls and boys before exposure
🔬 Regular screening (Pap smear / HPV testing / VIA) saves lives
⏱️ Early detection = better outcomes and survival

🔹 Our call to action this January:
✅ Screen regularly
✅ Vaccinate early
✅ Educate & advocate for access to services
✅ Support women and girls to take charge of their reproductive health

A truly transformative experience as SCORA partnered with the Keep a Girl in School Initiative for an empowering visit to Lang’ata Women’s Prison 👭✨

We engaged in open, safe and honest conversations on SRHR, menstrual hygiene, dignity and access to menstrual products 🩸🎒. The session was enlightening, warm, and deeply inspiring filled with learning, reflection and revived hope 🌷

Together, we continue to champion menstrual equity, compassion, and empowerment because when one woman rises, we all rise 🌸🔥
