✨𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 - 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭

Last week, 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 opened the first chapter of 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 with 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝗼𝗻, CEO of .

𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗼 shared her journey across borders: from North Korea, to China, and ultimately to building her life and business as an 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿 in South Korea. Through beauty and the making of lipsticks, her story reminded us that impact often starts with finding your own voice and choosing to use it.

This gathering reflects why 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 created this series in the first place: to create space for 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’s stories, lived experiences, and meaningful conversations in Korea not just in theory, but in real rooms, with real people.

Last week,𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 volunteers spent the day in Incheon taking part in a yeontan briquette volunteering activity.

What looks like a simple block of coal still plays a critical role in keeping homes warm for many households. Carrying and delivering each 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 requires sustained physical effort, and the experience was a tangible reminder of how much time, energy, and care go into providing something as basic as heat.

We are grateful to everyone who showed up, supported one another, and contributed through hands-on 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁. It was a collective effort, made possible by volunteers like , , .nell,and many others who took part.

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔’s volunteer community now connects over 𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 through our Kakao Open Chat. Alongside activities like yeontan volunteering, we also run recurring initiatives such as our 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, now in their 16th edition, bringing people together through consistent, community-led action.

Last month, 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 participated in the𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, engaging with founders, partners, and local stakeholders as we take our first steps toward expanding our presence in Vietnam.

Throughout the roadshow, we exchanged perspectives on 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁, sustainability, and how social initiatives can take shape across different cultural and market contexts. These conversations offered valuable insights that will continue to inform how we approach our work moving forward.

The experience was especially meaningful for us, as Vietnam is also where our CEO, Quinn, has her roots, adding a personal layer to the beginning of this new chapter. During the roadshow, Quinn also had the opportunity to share MONA’s vision in an interview featured on VTV2!

As 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 continues to grow across regions, learning directly from local ecosystems and building relationships on the ground remain central to how we think about impact and long-term collaboration.

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 in 2025 was about turning intention into action.

Our community grew to 16K people. Not just followers, but people who showed up, shared space, and stayed involved in the work.

Throughout the year, we organised monthly volunteer sessions, connecting people across generations and cultures. It meant sitting down together, listening, learning, and doing the work that creates real impact.

Behind the scenes, projects were wrapped up, contracts were closed, and three new team members joined 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔, stepping into the day-to-day work that keeps everything moving.We also moved into an office we now call home.
�That’s how we chose to close 2025, together with you.

2025년의 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔는 의도를 행동으로 옮기는 한 해였습니다.

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔의 커뮤니티는 1만 6천 명으로 성장했습니다.�단순한 팔로워가 아니라, 직접 참여하고, 공간을 나누며, 일의 과정에 꾸준히 함께한 사람들이었습니다.

한 해 동안 매달 자원봉사 세션을 운영하며 세대와 문화를 넘어 사람들을 연결했습니다.�함께 앉아 이야기하고, 듣고, 배우며, 실제 임팩트를 만들어가는 시간이었습니다.

그와 동시에, 프로젝트를 마무리하고 계약을 정리했으며, 세 명의 새로운 팀원이 MONA에 합류해 일상을 움직이는 보이지 않는 일을 함께해 주었습니다. 또 하나의 변화는, 이제 ‘우리의 공간’이라 부를 수 있는 사무실로 자리를 옮긴 일이었습니다.

이렇게 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔는 여러분과 함께 2025년을 마무리합니다.�

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 was proud to be part of 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮–𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 in Hanoi, a space where founders, partners, and institutions came together to exchange ideas, experiences, and visions across borders.

From introducing 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔’s work to discussing how surplus resources can be redirected toward real social value, these conversations reinforced something we strongly believe in: meaningful impact happens through collaboration.
Grateful for the𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, the 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, and the 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 to creating solutions that matter, locally and globally.
