Over the past three days, our nursing team took part in a specialized training on *Emergency and Critical Care in Conflict Situations*, led by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC).

This initiative aims to enhance our team’s skills and preparedness in delivering high-quality critical care during emergencies and crisis situations.

في إطار الحملة الوطنية للكشف المبكر عن سرطان الثدي، والمدعومة من وزارة الصحة العامة، يعلن مستشفى الشحّار الغربي الحكومي عن مشاركته في هذه المبادرة الوطنية إلى جانب عدد من المستشفيات الحكومية في مختلف المناطق اللبنانية.

تتضمن الحملة إجراء فحوصات (Mammography) مجاناً للسيدات، بإشراف الكادر الطبي والتمريضي في المستشفى، وذلك خلال الفترة الممتدة من 27-10-2025 الى 31-12-2025 وتهدف هذه المبادرة إلى تعزيز الوعي بأهمية الكشف المبكر عن سرطان الثدي لما له من دور أساسي في زيادة فرص الشفاء والحدّ من المضاعفات الصحية.
تدعو إدارة المستشفى السيدات إلى الاستفادة من هذه الفحوصات المجانية من خلال الاتصال بالمستشفى على الرقم: 05-412713/4 مقسم 330 لتحديد موعد مسبق.

بهدف الحدّ من انتقال العدوى بين أقسام المستشفى،
وضمان بيئة صحية وآمنة للمرضى والعاملين، قدم
الدكتور **رضوان زيدان** (اختصاصي الأمراض الصدرية والعناية الفائقة) محاضرة توعوية بعنوان

**"الأمراض المُعدية وسبل الوقاية والعلاج"**

وتناولت المحاضرة المحاور التالية:

* التعريف بالأمراض الانتقالية
* آلية انتقال العدوى
* طرق الوقاية والعلاج

In order to limit the spread of infections across hospital departments and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for both patients and staff, **Dr. Radwan Zeidan**, specialist in Pulmonology and Critical Care, delivered an awareness lecture entitled:

**“Communicable Diseases: Prevention and Treatment Approaches”**

The lecture covered the following key points:

* Definition of communicable diseases
* Modes of transmission
* Methods of prevention and treatment

Al Shahar Al Gharbi Governmental Hospital received an advanced operating room monitoring device, generously donated by MIBIL – Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Lebanon – in cooperation with the Civil Military Cooperation Directorate of the Lebanese Army. The hospital’s director, Dr. Adel Sarieddine, presented a commemorative shield in appreciation, highlighting the strong partnership and ongoing cooperation.

في إطار الهبة الكريمة المقدَّمة من بعثة MIBIL – Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Lebanon – وبالتعاون مع مديرية التعاون العسكري المدني في الجيش اللبناني، تسلَّم مستشفى الشحّار الغربي الحكومي جهاز مراقبة متطوّراً مخصّصاً لغرفة العمليات، بما يعزّز قدراته الجراحية. وبهذه المناسبة، قدَّم مدير المستشفى، الدكتور عادل سري الدين، درعاً تذكارياً تقديراً للدعم القيّم وتأكيداً على متانة الشراكة وروح التعاون المستمر."
