🦷 When it comes to teething, all babies are different. But most babies starts teething at around six months.

🦷Baby teeth sometimes emerge with no pain or discomfort at all. At other times, you may notice some symptoms, so check out this post!

🦶🏻This is usually caused by water retention because of an increase in progesterone.

🦶🏻This resolves quickly, not much longer than a week.
Here are some tips to help getting rid of water:
🦶🏿 Increase the fluids you are drinking
🦶🏾 Rest with your legs elevated
🦶🏽 Do simple legs exercises.

🧬 “Oxytocin” is a hormone released to increase contractions during labor, and to stimulate the ejection of milk in the ducts of the breasts.

😎 It works best when you are relaxed, so it is really important to make you feel comfortable and secure. High levels of oxytocin also give a sense of wellbeing.

🤱🏻 Stress, pain and anxiety can inhibit the release of oxytocin and decrease the process of milk ejection.

👨🏻‍🏫 Researchers have shown that a baby reaches out to his mom when she rubs her belly, and is even able to tell the difference between his mother and someone else’s touch!

Add high fiber foods to your diet.
If it’s not doing the trick, try:

💦 drinking more water

🏃🏻‍♀️ getting more exercices

💊 checking your prenatal vitamins. They can exacerbate constipation. Check with your doctor for alternatives.

🤰 doing your kegels (tighten your pelvic floor muscles and hold for 3 seconds, then relax the muscles for another 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times, 3 times a day)

🦷 Upper teeth:

1) 8-12 months
2) 9-13 months
3) 16-22 months
4) 13-19 months
5) 25-33 months

🦷 Lower teeth:

5) 23-31 months
4) 14-18 months
3) 17-23 months
2) 10-16 months
1) 6-10 months

🦷FACTS:

- Lower teeth usually erupt before upper teeth.
-Girls generally precede boys in tooth eruption.
-Baby teeth are smaller in size and whiter in color than the permanent teeth.

You will be surprised as new parents, with the amount of attention you give to your baby's p**p.

💩 Meconium is a newborn's first p**p; black, sticky, tar-like substance.

👶🏾 Newborns should p**p 3 to 4 times each day, and less frequently after 6 weeks.

🍮 The introduction of solid food changes the texture, the color, the odor and the frequency of your baby's bowel movements.

🚨 Talk to your pediatrician if your baby isn't producing enough dirty diapers, has diarrhea, or your baby's p**p has an alarming color!

Watch out for any sign of preeclampsia!
If your doctor suspects that you may have preeclampsia, a close monitoring is essential.

🩺 The blood pressure starts to elevate after 20 weeks gestation ( >140/90 mmHg)

🧪 High level of protein in urine sample.
You may need to be induced for delivery as soon as possible, and some cases may require an urgent C-section.

Be aware in case it happens to you!

This is a quick and easy way to keep tabs on your baby!

Most pregnant mamas feel their baby moving between 18 and 25 weeks.
🔟 or more movements in 2️⃣ hour period usually means baby is well and alive.
Note that your baby is the most active between 9pm and 1am.

I know many women who say that having an epidural during birth helped them relax during their labor, and had a peaceful birth.
I also experienced many other women who had a traumatic experience with their epidural.

As with everything, there are pros and cons. CHECK THIS POST!
🩺 An epidural is a method of pain relief that your doctor can administer during labor.

💉 It numbs the area between your belly button and upper legs, and begins to take effect after 15 minutes.

💉 An epidural does not take away all sensation, and you will still feel some pressure.

💉 It is typically safe and effective.

💉 It allows you to remain awake and in control of your upper body.
⏰ The timing of your epidural is very important. The best time is after you're in active labor!

➕/➖ Before choosing to make an epidural during birth, you have to understand the benefits and risks.
