It is my distinct pleasure to invite you to the “The Beirut International Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Congress” - PedCard Beirut 2012-, to be held in Beirut, Lebanon from the 18th- 20th of October, 2012. On behalf of the Children’s Heart Center team at the American University of Beirut, we are honored to host and organize this prestigious meeting under the umbrella of the Pan Arab Congenital Heart Disease Association (PACHDA) and with the support of the Lebanese Cardiology Society. Named ‘one of the top places to visit’ by New York Times and one of the ‘ten liveliest cities in the world’ by Lonely Planet, Beirut continues to be one of the most vibrant cities world- wide and a stimulating diversity of different scenes, cultures, and religions. In a city like no other, Beirut blends a unique contrast of east and west, old and new, in a dynamic experience that includes art, culture, and entertainment. We look forward to ushering one of the most distinguished scientific meetings in the region and beyond. We believe this meeting will give us all the opportunity to exchange expertise in a unique learning and sharing experience with colleagues from across the world in all aspects of congenital cardiac care.
