Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of the internal spaces of the spinal canal.

Neural foraminal stenosis (narrowing) is one type of spinal stenosis.

The nerves that extend out from the spinal cord come out through the neural foramen in the vertebrae.

If this space becomes too narrow, nerve root compression occurs.

Usually, this condition occurs in the vertebrae of the lower back and neck area, various symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling sensation and muscle weakness & loss of power can be seen.

Neural foraminal stenosis can happen due to many factors such as aging, injury to the spine, degenerative disk disease, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.

Often corpus luteal or follicular cysts turn into hemorrhagic cysts.

Mostly these are small enough to cause no symptoms.

But sometimes this can cause various symptoms such as menstrual abnormalities, painful in*******se and lower abdominal pain.

large ovarian cysts can lead to complications such as hemoperitonium(due to ruptured cysts) or ovarian torsion.

In such cases, symptoms like intense pain, nausea and vomiting, faintness can be noted.

Hospitalization should be done immediately when these symptoms are present.

The accumulation of fluids inside the fallopian tubes which lie in between the uterus and the ovaries is called hydrosalphynx.

Often hydrosalphynx occurs as a result of untreated infections (PID), sexually transmitted diseases (STI), and diseases like endometriosis, also followed by a surgical procedure.

The walls of the alveoli are made very thin so that the exchange of air between the alveoli and the blood capillaries becomes easy.

If the alveoli walls are damaged somehow, the air exchange in the lungs will become hampered

This condition is known as emphysema.

Air becomes trapped inside the lungs in case of emphysema which leads to a barrel-shaped chest.

Also, symptoms such as difficulty breathing, cough, wheezing and fatigue can be seen.

The main reason for emphysema is smoking.

Genetic conditions like Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency can also contribute to emphysema.

Some people find it difficult to breathe while lying down on a bed or any flat surface.

They tend to get up from recumbent posture and sit or stand upright as it gives some relief.

This is called orthopnea. When lying horizontally, the blood in the legs moves towards the heart.

If your heart is weak, it will be difficult to pump this blood out which tends to create extra pressure on the lungs and ultimately fluid gets collected within the lungs.

When fluid accumulates in the lungs person experiences shortness of breath when lying down.

This can occur due to various underlying diseases like congestive heart failure, COPD, pneumonia etc.
