🔵 Did you know that lettuce, which is an indispensable vegetable in today's food preparation, has been used as a medicine since time immemorial?
🔵 Mainly green and red colors, and there are also special colorful varieties. Salad leaves were first cultivated by the ancient Egyptians, who obtained oil from the seeds of the plant and used the leaves as a vegetable. It also contains minerals and vitamins such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, thiamin, folate, vitamin B-6, C, A, E and vitamin K. These nutrients also depend on the type of salad plant.
🔵 According to the Unani system of medicine, lettuce is traditionally used as a sleep inducer for insomniacs. Studies have shown that lettuce contains significant amounts of antioxidants. Using lettuce can lower cholesterol levels, which often lead to heart disease and other dangerous conditions. It also controls anxiety and can control some types of cancer.
🔵 Regardless of its beneficial properties, consuming contaminated salad plants can spread bacteria, viruses and parasites. Therefore, do not forget to clean the lettuce well before consumption and add fresh lettuce that has not been stored for a long time to your diet.
