Core Group for Disaster Relief- Faculty of Medicine University of Colombo As a group we try to provide necessary assistance in the health field in case of a disaster.

The organization was formed in 2005 in the faculty of medicine university of Colombo after the Tsunami disaster as there was no organized way of facing such a situation at that time. This organization is the first to come up with a health guideline to be followed in a disaster in Sri Lanka. From there onward the organization has been actively participating and involving in disaster relief, specially in the heath sector educating the student body on disaster management.
