Another stunning work done by our health volunteers who bring our second routine operation theater near functional as they repaired an old air-conditioner and installed. Its an unbelievable pathetic story as this theater has been waiting for more than a year with full of all other needful equipments worth of several millions rupees get through donations but without an air-conditioner worth of few hundred thousand rupees only despite of repeated requests to department.
But miserably those service minded and dedicated volunteers also let down by department this time as they were urged to leave their works,subsequently they are staging 'attention seeking struggle' now.Let us raise our voices for their permanent appointments.

Our CSSD unit which is a rudimentary one where most of the things are done manually in a small space. Our only high pressure sterilizer is fully renovated recently by RDHS with the cost of one million rupees. Where needful rain water storage facilities, washing facilities, pipeline and electricity improvements are done by welfare society through our health volunteers, they once again done great service to society.

Our blood bank which is the biggest in Jaffna in activity and workload because of cancer unit,at the same time smallest in space and human resource,providing excellent service to public,equally supported by patient welfare society.
Blood bank activities are severely hampered and some of the activities are temporarily suspended due to lack of air conditioner facility to keep the room temperature in optimum range few months back.
But the welfare society came into action,which
1. Repaired the existing air conditioner
2. Installed another 24000 BTU air conditioner by repairing an old one
All credits goes to our health volunteers,especially the A/C technician Jeevanantham.

significant money spent on the maintenance of our prestiges cancer unit on monthly basis for below mentioned works.
cancer unit located in a huge modern building built by colours of courage which consist of thousands of electrical bulbs of different kind, hundreds of fans and air-conditioners, modern medical equipments and several other facilities.
welfare society replaced hundreds of bulbs, water taps, bathroom and toilet appliances and several accessories for fans, air-conditioners and for other general and electric items in recent past. It's a massive task when comparing the size and need of that unit, requiring several thousands rupees on monthly basis where we urged the support of general public to share the pressure on our shoulders for the sake of 3 million tamil speaking people.
