So, this is a late post for Mothers’ Day month.
For me, it's been a Mother’s Year, starting May 2024. In just a couple of days, I packed up my eight months in London and returned home to Sri Lanka for my mother’s urgent surgery. Since then, its been a whole heap of doctors, appointments, tests, procedures, etc.
My Mother is a special one🥰. She’s been both parents for us nearly all our lives, and she’s done a pretty good job👌🏼 at it because we both ended up as capable, decent, valuable human beings.😇 I keep reminding her of this fact, and I also thank her as often as possible for giving me the freedom in life from a very young age. ❤️🙏🏽
I’ve been lucky🍀🥹 and blessed😇 - for that I am grateful.🙏🏽♥️
I believe not all of us choose to be biological or adoptive mothers...
We must understand mothers as just another human being...
That they do/did the best job they knew how to do...
Motherhood should not be forced upon...
Mothering is experienced in many other forms of relationships too...
A dedication to Mothers of all kinds 💐💕
