Police Lunch an investigation in the Brutal killing of Motorcyclist in Nimba
It was a shocking incident when residents of Loa Mongbain town in Nimba County, electoral district #8 woke up with the discovery of a dead Motorcyclist believed to be in his 30s.
According to reports, he was stabbed multiple times on his back and neck with cutlass by unknown person or persons and his bike was taking away.
The incident occurred on last night January 1, 2026 (new year night) and leading police to lunch prompt investigation in bringing perpetrator(s) to justice.
The victim's name has not been confirmed, but report suggests that he is a resident of Boe community , Ganta City.
According to eyewitnesses, there was a serious struggle, and despite the victim's efforts in defend himself, he was overwhelmed by the alleged perpetrators. This is not the first of it kinds in the area and Nimba at large.
It can be record that a 17-year-old Cyclist was killed in the same region six months ago and the present one has sparked fears in residents calling for increased security measures in the area to prevent such incidents.
The police are encouraging anyone with information to use the Community policing program that will assist the police in gathering information for prompt investigation.
How ever, civil society actors are demanding justice at the same time calling on authorities adress the insecurity in some parts of Nimba despite the presence of huge police officers in Ganta and other bigger Cities in Nimba.
