Every year, thousands of girls’ dreams in Liberia are paused because of a pregnancy. Too many adolescent girls are forced out of the classroom and left to navigate the massive responsibility of motherhood in silence and isolation.

At AGS 2026, we are moving past "pity" and getting straight to solutions.

The “Adolescent Parents Session” we are co-leading with Her Voice Foundation. is where the blueprint for change in the next two years we be built. Our goal is not only to talk but tackle the issues that are deciding a girl's future on a daily basis:

-School Re-entry: Because a baby shouldn't mean the end of an education.

-Childcare & Economic Support: Practical tools to help her balance her books and her baby.

-Leadership: Turning "teen mothers" into the peer leaders our communities need.

-Mindset Shifts: Challenging the stigma and reclaiming the right to thrive.

Young mothers don't need us to feel sorry for them. They need systems that work for them. They need to return, recover, and thrive.

Representing not just an organization, but the lived realities of young adolescents back home, they’ve stepped into conversations that truly matter. From quiet reflections to powerful discussions, every session is a reminder that when girls and young women are given the space to speak, transformation begins.

They’re listening, learning, and most importantly sharing. Sharing stories that are often unheard. Sharing experiences that deserve recognition. And helping shape solutions that will impact lives far beyond this moment.

4 astute members of our team is heading to the Adolescent Girls Summit with one mission: to make sure every girl is seen, safe, and heard.

Here is some of the contributions we are making to the SUMMIT:

-Leading Wellbieng, Safety and Security along with Community Health Care Initiative INC., Action For Girls Empowerment and Muslim Aid to keep the summit safe for everyone.

-Spearheading an innovative CSE debate session to enable adolescents and young people to explore diverse perspectives on Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (CSE) and access to services in Africa

-Co-leading a breakout session focused on Adolescent Parents with Her Voice to center lived experiences, present short evidence from surveys and country contexts, and guide the development of a practical two-year action plan.

We’re incredibly proud to share this moment.

Two alumni from our
EmpowerHer Journey Cohort #1
now serving as ambassadors in their communities, alongside two members of our Peer-to-Peer Club, will be representing us at the Adolescent Girls Summit 2026, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

They’re not just attending, they’re showing up with their stories, their voices, and their lived experiences. They’ll be part of important conversations and high-level discussions focused on shaping a two-year action plan to better support young mothers across Africa.

This is what real impact looks like, young women stepping forward, owning their narratives, and helping design the future they want to see.
