Day Two Highlights | SRHR Coach Masterclass 4.0

What an inspiring week and Day Two it has been for our participants!

Day Two began with great excitement as participants engaged in a lively icebreaker and a recap of Day One, refreshing key lessons and setting the tone for another impactful day of learning and connection.

Our first session, “The Human Body and How It Works,” led by our Executive Director Ms. Lela Precious Dolo, and Mr. Taire Luke Boimah Youth & Capacity Building Specialist, took participants on a deep dive into understanding the human reproductive system. Together, they explored its structure and functions, broke down myths and taboos around menstruation and sexual organs, and teamed up to present how the body works, promoting both teamwork and knowledge sharing.

The energy stayed high as we moved into our final session, “Puberty & Menstrual Hygiene,” facilitated by Mrs. Christina F. Blama-Hessou and Ms. Nuniah Varpilah. Through the exciting “Before and After Puberty” game and open discussions, participants learned about the physical and emotional changes that come with puberty, and the importance of normalizing conversations about menstruation and hygiene.

It was a day filled with discovery, dialogue, and empowerment, nurturing confidence and knowledge among our young SRHR advocates. As we wrap up Week One, we’re already looking forward to another week of powerful learning, connection, and growth.

Highlights from Day One of our SRHR Coach Masterclass 4.0

After a successful orientation and an icebreaker session this morning led by our Executive Director Ms. Lela Precious Dolo. our participants moved straight into the main sessions with so much excitement and energy.

Our first session was led by our Program Officer, Ms. Qweta Chuku Gbaie, who facilitated on Understanding Health and Well-being. It was a very interactive and engaging session where participants shared their thoughts and experiences about maintaining good health and living well. They were divided into three groups for a group presentation, which created room for more ideas and teamwork. Each group presented beautifully on different topics, showing their understanding and creativity.

Session Two, on Gender and SOGIE, facilitated by the Program Coordinator, Ms. Hawa C. Wilson. from Paramount young women Initiative. She began the session with an open conversation that allowed participants to reflect on how society views gender roles and how these perceptions affect both men and women.

Participants also discussed some of the challenges and barriers that exist within our society and shared ideas on how we can all work together to create a more equal and supportive environment for everyone.

Today’s sessions were not only educational but also inspiring. The passion, curiosity, and active participation of everyone clearly show that this Masterclass will be a meaningful journey of growth and change.

A big thank you to our amazing partners for making this Masterclass possible. We look forward to a fantastic learning experience together!
