“Mens Sana in Corpore Sano” — A healthy mind in a healthy body.

Who knew that the motto of my Swiss high school would become the red thread running through my entire professional and private life? I first heard it at the Lyceum Alpinum in Zuoz in 1998, and it’s stayed with me ever since.

This timeless phrase from the Roman poet Juvenal perfectly captures the ideal of balance between mental and physical well-being. It has not only guided my personal philosophy but also inspired the creation of all four yoga studios I’ve founded in Luxembourg: House of Yoga, Grace, Le Garage, and House of Om.

I’ve always preferred the Latin version. It’s elegant, memorable, and—most of all—anchored in meaning. For me, it’s more than a motto. It’s a lifelong guiding principle. It’s personal.
