FORGIVENESS OF SIN.. so far we have looked at four stages in what we have called a journey from sin to salvation. These are facing up to our sin problem, sincerely turniog away from sin, putting our faith in Jesus Christ as the only saviour and being baptized in water as a sign that we have begun a new life. There are two more step however that we must now look at in detail. The first is forgiveness. For the thief on the cross forgiveness came before baptism. It is usually the same with us. However as we have seen the bible puts baptism before forgiveness, because it is a sign of a person's real repentance and sorrow for their sin.
