Each year, Holy Week brings a meaningful panata. 🌟

I recently returned to a retreat with friends from the Esoteric Society of the Philippines, the organization that ignited my spiritual vocation over thirteen years ago. To give back, I offered sessions on Tea Leaf Reading and Advanced Reiki Techniques, honoring the roots of my journey.

During the retreat, an invitation arose for an esoteric case resolution in San Pablo. Alongside friends from the Lightwork community, we facilitated communication between local nature spirits and the human community. Their message was clear and urgent: the preservation of the natural world is a necessity, not an option. It struck me deeply that amidst the noise of global conflict and economic crises, we have become dangerously severed from our connection to the Earth.

The reality of this disconnect hit home when I returned to our accommodation. Near the river, I found bottles and trash discarded by Holy Week excursionists. As I cleaned up the site, I offered an apology to the land for the intrusion. It was a sobering reminder that while we immerse ourselves in shamanism, energy work, and various spiritual modalities, these practices are not meant to be mere abstractions.

To be truly Christ-like is to realize that our spiritual labor must be lived out in the physical world--our devotion is hollow if it does not manifest as an urgent commitment to preserving the Life we all share.

Teacher Lex is a Reiki Master-Teacher with over a decade of experience in the Healing Arts. He is certified as a Meditation Teacher, Psychological First Aid Provider, and Expressive Arts Facilitator, with extensive training in Lightworking, Psychism, and meditation traditions such as Vipassana and Ch’an (Zen).

He has contributed to the Circle of Esoteric Practitioners, Esoteric Society of the Philippines, Reiki Wellness Center, the Yoga Shala and Septakademika PH.
