🔍 The case: Type 2 , one of the deadliest

Type 2 diabetes can progress slowly, damaging organs, leading to heart disease, kidney failure, blindness, and even amputations.

🗡️ Weapons: Sugary drinks and highly processed foods. Accomplices include neighbourhoods without safe spaces to be active, and limited access to healthy food and affordable healthcare.

📰 Sometimes, clues may appear:

-Persistent thirst
-Frequent urination
-Blurred vision
-Unexplained fatigue

✅ How to protect yourself:

- Eat a healthy, balanced diet
- Stay active and maintain a healthy weight
- Avoid smoking

Over 830 million people worldwide have diabetes, with millions more at risk.
Don’t let type 2 diabetes sneak up on you.

🗡️ Weapons: Human papillomavirus ( ), lack of access to HPV vaccination, early detection, and treatment.

🎯 Victims: Over 350 000 women every year.

This preventable, treatable killer often goes unnoticed until it’s too late.

📰 Don’t ignore the clues:
- Unusual bleeding (between periods, after menopause, or post-intercourse)
- Increased or foul-smelling vaginal discharge
- Persistent pelvic pain, back pain, or leg swelling
- Weight loss, fatigue, or loss of appetite

✅ How to protect yourself:
- HPV vaccination for girls aged 9–14
- Cervical cancer screening for women from age 30, or from 25 for women living with HIV

If you notice any of these symptoms, seek health care support urgently.
