World Obesity Day.

Two out of three adults in Malta are living above a healthy weight range.

This is not simply a willpower problem. It reflects the reality of the environment we live in, what experts call an obesogenic environment. A system where ultra-processed foods are easily accessible, daily life is increasingly sedentary, stress is high, and healthy choices are often the harder choices.

Today is an opportunity to move beyond blame and quick-fix myths. Sustainable change does not come from crash diets, miracle supplements, or shame.

Real solutions require a multi-disciplinary, long-term approach that includes better nutrition education, supportive healthcare, physical activity, mental health support, and healthier food environments.

At BodyKind, we believe improving health should be guided by evidence, compassion, and personalised care.
