BKEA Ltd. Joins Horizon Europe’s APRISE Project to Advance Alternative Protein Research 🌱🌍

We are proud to announce that BKEA Ltd. is a partner in the APRISE (Alternative Proteins Research and Innovation Skills Enhancement) project, funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-TALENTS-03).

This 4-year initiative brings together partners from across Europe, uniting universities, research centres, and industry leaders to advance the field of alternative proteins and strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem in Widening Countries, including Malta.

Our team at BKEA Ltd. will actively contribute to the training, dissemination, and sustainable practice components of APRISE, promoting the integration of green biotechnology and circular bioeconomy principles into next-generation protein research.

“Authentication of Maltese Pork Meat Unveiling Insights Through ATR-FTIR and Chemometric Analysis”, has just been published in MDPI Foods!

This study showcases how advanced vibrational spectroscopy and data-driven modeling can be used to authenticate local food products, supporting food transparency, traceability, and consumer trust.
