We’re grateful to Forbes Scotland for featuring our work on voice biomarkers.

Voice Biota began four years ago not as a company or a polished startup, but as a research-driven effort to explore whether the human voice could become a new, scalable layer of physiological data.

What has grown since is a living, collaborative infrastructure. A continuously evolving voice biomarker atlas that is validated in real time and shaped daily through collaboration with more than 25 international health institutes and over 1,900 active users worldwide.

Voice Biota is open by design. Researchers, developers, health organisations, product teams, and operators can actively take part. The platform supports API integrations that already power digital applications, research workflows, and large scale environments such as call centres.

Thank you to everyone contributing to this shared effort. This is a living project, and the work continues.

The independent judging panel recognised Voice Biota for translating rigorous scientific research into real-world deployment while maintaining medical-grade discipline in validation, data integrity, and system architecture. The award reflects Voice Biota’s work in addressing respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma through non-invasive voice and breathing analysis.

Evaluation was conducted by impartial industry experts using a Rasch-based measurement model, ensuring objective comparison across disciplines.
