Podiatry is that science that deals ​with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. The conditions podiatrists treat include those resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthritis and soft-tissue and muscular pathologies, as well as neurological and circulatory disease. Podiatrists are also able to diagnose and treat any complications of the above which affect the lower limb. Foot injuries and infections gained through sport or other activities are also diagnosed and treated by podiatrists.

The aim of the podiatrist is to identify the risk factors involved and to treat and prevent certain complications. Detailed examination such as vascular and neurological assessment, assessing mobility and biomechanics play a major role in the diagnosing and treating foot complications.

Our friends at Swieqi Chess Club with their Junior Drop-ins

This Saturday is the first Saturday of the month and as usual they will hold the SCC Junior Drop-ins between 10:30am and 12:00pm!

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF THE START TIME TO 10:30am

Just bring your kids to have 90 minutes of play with a facilitator that can help them through their games, or by giving exercises/puzzles in between games. You don't need to stay at the chess club during the session. These are different from formal chess classes, but can complement formal classes allowing the kids to practice and most importantly have fun.
