This Children’s Mental Health Week, we want every child to know one simple truth:

YOUR FEELINGS MATTER!

Through the EmpowerME project, we are creating safe spaces where children can talk about their emotions, discover healthy coping tools, and know where to turn when they need support.

Children can also use the Emotional Support Chat on the Empowering Children webapp, which is a safe and confidential space to share how they are feeling with trained professionals - for free!

Visit empoweringchildren.gov.mt to explore the support available. 💜

As part of the Empowering a Mentally Healthy Generation project, experts from the University College Cork in Ireland completed their first phase of their study with children in Malta to better understand the challenges they face.

This helps us better understand their experiences and what helps them feel supported. We look forward to sharing more results and as children’s voices continue to guide the next stages of the project.

Among these is the right to have their voice heard.

When we listen to children’s views, we gain a better understanding of their experiences, needs, and perspectives. 🧒🏼👦🏽

We want to hear children’s views on the EU ⤵️

That’s why we actively involve them in our decision-making process through the EU Children’s Participation Platform. This initiative, part of the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child, amplifies young voices and puts child-participation mechanisms into practice.
