The Evil Eye: Does it Really Exist, and Can It Be Harmful?
Dear Amaris Community,
What is the Evil Eye, really?
The Evil Eye is an energy.
It is an energetic force that can affect us when it is directed toward us.
The belief in the Evil Eye is very old and exists in many cultures around the world.
It can be found in ancient India, the Middle East, Greece, Rome, Africa, and Asia. Even today, people across cultures use symbols, prayers, or stones for protection against it. Although the explanations differ, the understanding is similar: strong negative emotions can affect another person energetically.
This energy often begins with jealousy.
Jealousy is a very uncomfortable feeling, and most of us have experienced it at some point in our lives. Some people feel it more strongly, others less. This means we are not only confronted with the Evil Eye from others — we may also unknowingly produce this energy ourselves and direct it toward others.
However, the negative energy we call the Evil Eye goes a step further than simple jealousy. It becomes the Evil Eye when jealousy turns into a strong negative emotion, when a person not only envies but actually wishes something bad because of that jealousy.
Will the Evil Eye really affect us?
Yes, it can — but it depends.
If you are well protected, if you are in a loving, divine, and auspicious state, the impact will be much less. But if you are already troubled, emotionally vulnerable, or going through difficulties, the effect can be stronger.
There is another very important point:
If you yourself carry jealousy, the Evil Eye affects you more.
If you do not feel jealousy, it affects you much less.
This means that healing the Evil Eye is not only about removing external negative energy — it is also about healing our own shadow, especially our own jealousy. The Evil Eye loses its power when we no longer envy what others have.
A few words about social media
Sharing can be beautiful, but too much sharing can attract the Evil Eye.
Not everyone is in a good situation. Some people struggle financially. Some have not been able to travel for years. Some wish for a new car, a better home, or a more comfortable life but cannot afford it right now.
When we post too much about material success or holidays, it can unintentionally awaken jealousy. Often this is not meant badly — but even small amounts of this energy can affect us.
Please also be mindful about posting pictures of your children all over the internet. The Evil Eye can affect them too — it really can.
Share your family pictures with family and with your very close friends.
We do not have 1,000 good friends, and also not 10,000 good friends.
If you have five truly good friends, that is already a lot.
So please be mindful.
Be gentle with what you share publicly.
It is often better to share things that uplift everyone — insights, methods, spiritual practices, or things that improve life for all. Personal photos and holiday pictures are best shared privately, with people who truly rejoice in your happiness.
How can we protect ourselves from the Evil Eye?
First, we heal our own jealousy.
This can be done energetically, for example through Amaris Divinity Reiki.
Second, we can clear and remove the negative energy or energetic pollution of the Evil Eye with Help of a Amaris Lord Shiva or Archangel Michael Healing.
Third, we can use protective stones.
It is the Black Eye Agate — a very powerful and protective stone. It is extremely strong against the Evil Eye. You can wear it, place it in your home, or keep it in your office.
If you combine Black Eye Agate with Sapphire, Lapis Lazuli, and Turquoise, the protection becomes even stronger — against the Evil Eye. Try is out.
Divine Blessings to all of you
