Improved Midwifery Care Access Initiative (IMCAI) is a local non-governmental organization that aims at uplifting the well-being of all child bearing women, unborn children, newborns and their families in rural communities in Malawi by collaborating with Ministry of Health through district hospitals, health centers and relevant stakeholders through advocacy, networking and outreach. IMCAI’s goal is to provide evidence-based quality midwifery care to the rural communities to help to reduce maternal and neonatal death.

Zomba misses out on too many issues. How about if we make the following services more accessible the week beginning 6th May? Like a whole day or two specifically for that.

1. Family Planning Services
2. Breast cancer screening
3. Cervical Cancer screening and treatment
4. Menstrual Health Awarenesses and distribution of free Sanitary menstrual cups

Remember about those 6 Nurse Midwives who walked from Blantyre to Lilongwe via Zomba? Well, a random video taken during the walk when the team was talking to women at Maternity Waiting Home, Machinga District Hospital.
