Breath Meditation inspired at the end of a Conscious Breathing session.
Just sitting with the breath flowing through our bodies,
we feel the breath as our friend, our ally, our lover.
Welcoming the breath into your body, into our whole being.
As we surrender to the breath,
the Holy breathes through us—inspirare, in spiritu.

For the first time, when we were born, we took our first breath.
For the last time, when we leave this body, it will be our final breath.
The breath has been with us all along,
yet we forgot its presence,
we forgot the healing power of breath.

I welcome the Breath into my life,
for you are the energy that sustains me,
for you are Spirit.

How deeply can I take in the energy of the breath?
How fully can I breathe it into my body?
How much can I release that which no longer serves me?

Can I allow the breath to dance as it flows in?
Must I hold it in, or can I let it be free?
Can I simply let the breath out
and surrender to the next inhale,
and the next exhale?

Breath, breathe me.
Breath, ignite my life, ignite my fire.
Remind me of my soul’s purpose,
ignite my intentions.
With each breath, I breathe heaven on earth.
