Nowadays, we live in a rushed society where we barely celebrate our wins. After achieving our goal, the first thing we do is think about our next one. ​​​​​​​​

We tend to wait to "be this" or to "have that" to enjoy life, and in the meantime, life passes by, and we miss out on many chances. So instead, let's choose to relish the now. ​​​​​​​​

Every morning, try to start the day with gratitude practice - wake up and spend the first few minutes of your day listing out a few things you're grateful for. ​​​​​​​​

Then, read the bible or a personal growth book for 5 to 10 minutes. Finish up by praying or meditating on what you've read. ​​​​​​​​

When health challenges, depression, anxiety, stress, or feelings of being overwhelmed come, sometimes it can feel like we are alone in a pit of darkness and no one can understand or relate. You see everyone else living life around you but feel trapped away from everything and everyone, like a shell of a person going through the mechanics of doing things. The light at the end of the tunnel is so faint it seems millions of miles away. The key is to remember that the light is still there. Maybe it’s not right around the corner, but healing and hope are always on the way. Time can be hard to face in these times because we try to “be strong” and “not burden” anyone with what we are truly facing. The kicker is that asking for help is the most vital and courageous thing we can do.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Reaching out for help is the key to thriving. When we reach out, we enable ourselves to find that help and show others the freedom to do the same. Taking that step and admitting that things aren’t great to someone opens the doors for our healing and can create a ripple effect to influence those who witness our bold, brave steps.​​​​​​​​

When you build a house, you don’t start by putting the Christmas tree on the ground, where your living room will be one day. You don’t start by choosing curtains and area rugs. You start by making a foundation. Everyone knows that it’s the only logical thing to do. ​​​​​​​​

However, it can be challenging to know what the “foundation” is when it comes to supplements. People often start with the “decoration” and special supplements but don’t prioritize. It’s much more important to have a proper foundation.​​​​​​​​

The foundational supplements that we need, are essential minerals and vitamins. If the body lacks those, it can’t function properly. We get some of those micronutrients through our food; that’s why food matters a lot! Our integrative health practitioner, Sonja, often asks her clients to do a gratefulness challenge and write down three things they're grateful for every morning. It doesn't always have to be a "big" thing, like your family. It can even be your morning coffee that made you smile!​​​​​​​​

Write down the things that make you smile, express your gratefulness in prayer, and give thanks to the people around you. There's always something we can be grateful for. Let's focus on the positive.​​​​​​​​
