It serves as a cardiac centre of excellence for clinical and training services. It runs a 24/7 emergency service. University Malaya Medical Centre is widely regarded to be the premier teaching institution in Malaysia. The Cardiology unit plays a key role with regards to clinical services, education and training, research and development. Today the University Malaya Cardiology Unit is made up of physicians, scientists, nurses and doctors-in-training. Each is deeply committed to advancing the field of cardiovascular medicine and improving patient outcomes
