Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) presents “Resepi Nusantara - Asian Buffet 2026”.

From 26 Feb - 18 March 2026, enjoy an impressive spread of 850 Asian & Continental dishes, featuring festive kuih-kuih, authentic hawker-style favourites and heritage recipes inspired by regional street food.

This year’s edition also highlights locally sourced produce and seafood in collaboration with national and state agencies - supporting farmers and fisheries while ensuring freshness and quality.

There’s also Sahur at Meranti Café (26 Feb – 17 March), plus Ramadan Takeaway for convenient home gatherings.

Haven’t had black bean beef kuey teow for a very long time. And this is good.

📍Jing Cheng Restaurant 京成茶餐室 WK Commercial Centra, Penampang

Very reasonable price. Menu attached.

Flavourful (might be a bit salty for some people), the beef slices with very nice tender texture. Kuey Teow fresh and soft. Vegetables with nice crunch.

Pair with ice lemon sui kosong. Perfect.

This year, Sutera Harbour presents Aneka Rasa Sutera 2026 - Moroccan Nights at Level 2, Grand Ballroom, The Pacific Sutera Hotel (6.00pm–10.00pm).

Featuring Sabah’s first Moroccan guest chef, Chef Zohra Fatihi, indulge in authentic Moroccan flavours like Seafood Pastilla, Chicken Tagine and traditional Couscous, alongside beloved Malaysian Ramadan favourites such as Kari Kambing, Ekor Asam Pedas, Bubur Lambuk and classic kuih-muih.

One thing that really caught my attention - their kurma selection 😍 Not the usual ones you see everywhere. They have beautifully crafted kurma coated with pistachio, almond and even peanuts. Very special, very premium, and honestly something I’ve rarely seen at buffet spreads. Must try!

Aaaand we don’t usually see gerai durian in hotels. It’s buffet style tauuuu! Ngam for all the hantu durian 🥹😭 makan puas-puas la ni.

With live stations, sushi, a kids’ gelato corner, complimentary parking and prayer facilities, this is a warm, family-friendly buka puasa experience not to be missed.

I always love the extensive variety at their buffet line - there’s something for everyone, and everything is beautifully presented.

Dessert is definitely my favourite section. Don’t miss their signature durian cake… ohhh, it’s the best!
