Mean To Lean virtual fitness program is back! πŸ”₯
A 5-weeks training plan with 3 days split, this time, I've improved on the workout structure so that those who participates, will feel the changes within this sweat-out time (increase endurance & muscle mass) while having tonnes of 'fun'! πŸ’ͺ

Kid's Badminton Training. 🏸
I was given the task to develop this kid's fitness and analyze his training session to correct what's needed to improve his technique in this sport.

[1st video]
Slow-motion (from my pov) :
β€’ The dominant leg (right leg) can be seen moving before he hits the shuttlecock.
β€’ Unable to hit the sweet-spot due to over-swinging of the racquet caused by the unbalance movement of the body.

Sequential video :
β€’ Body mechanic corrected - dominant leg to be in temporary static position while the non-dominant (left leg) ankle rotates to allow the pivot movement.
β€’ Movement and position of the arms corrected to make sure during the acceleration phase, he knows how to control the wrist joint making sure that he hits the contact point (sweet-spot) and leads the shuttlecock to where he wants it to go.

β€’ When he moves his body in a correct technique, accuracy is the end-result.
I'm still in the process of learning about Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD), increasing my knowledge in general fitness and sport-specific training for badminton. My interest is into developing athletes from young age so that they do not waste their time struggling to build their strength once puberty hits; which is different for both girls & boys.

I'm open to any advices that could improve me better and help kids to play competetively in this badminton.
This is just part of my studies that I want to share with others out there. πŸ’ͺ

Want to maintain your health performance during the holy month of Ramadhan?
Of course, YES! πŸ”₯

Starting on the 4th until 29th of April 2022, I'll conduct a 20-30 minutes live session that is suitable for all fitness level. But, for LADIES ONLY!

The aim is to maintain your strength and stamina that you have been working on all these while. But, the sweat session I created focused on improving your self-control during the fasting hours and self-discipline so that you're able to perform Taraweeh and Qiyam at night to seek forgiveness and earn Allah SWT mercy during this blessed month.

Strength and resistance training are the main workouts. Hence, a pair of dumbbells (range between 2-7.5kg is already good) and a mini band are required but fret not if you don't have any! Your bodyweight is more than good enough to work on!
