Lately, I’ve been thinking about how disconnected we’ve become constantly surrounded by screens, yet often missing the moment right in front of us.
Last week, I experienced something that deeply moved me. I spent time with a group of young people, and while their energy was bright, I couldn’t help noticing how many were absorbed in their phones, eyes down, minds elsewhere.
It made me pause.
So, I gently invited them to join me in a simple experiment — a two-hour technology detox.
The first few minutes were awkward. Some felt restless, others unsure what to do without the constant scroll or notifications. But I could sense their curiosity. Slowly, something shifted. Conversations began to flow. Laughter filled the space. They started engaging with one another, not through screens, but through presence.
And in that stillness, I witnessed something truly beautiful: the human connection that blooms when the mind is given room to breathe.
It reminded me how our souls quietly long for moments like these, unhurried, unfiltered, and real. We forget how healing it can be to simply be here, to notice each other, to listen without distraction.
Sometimes, all it takes is two hours of presence to remember who we are beneath the noise.
No filters. No notifications. Just the simplicity of connection, and the quiet joy of being fully alive. 🌿✨
The moment that stayed with me most was when their smiles and laughter began to shine through, pure, genuine, and present. And when I heard the words “thank you” at the end… it filled me with joy.
Because in that moment, I remembered: I truly love what I do. 💛
