Couple of years ago, I woke up every morning, and straight away thinking about serving other people (i.e my kids).
House to clean, what to cook for them, what activities I should do with them, whatsapp text to reply etc.
Later I easily feel demotivated and lazy to even start my day. So I wake up late, I set no goals for the day, and I just became resentful of my current situation.
And then about a year ago, I learn about self care. To wake up very early in the morning and spend the first quiet couple of hours of the day for my self. I would do yoga, read, journaling, meditating, and just do things for myself. And it felt sooo good.
I have totally changed the way I feel and see my life since then. I even approach my day differently. I get so excited for the next day to come!
But then, I struggled to get things done. I feel like I have sooo many things to do but so little time.
And that's when I learn,
"Before you're a mother, before you're a wife, you're a servant to Allah. Take care of your time with Allah, and Allah will take care of the rest"
So now I'm sharing this with all of you guys. As the saying goes, you can't pour from an empty cup.
Let's fill up our cup-emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and physically, to equip ourselves for the challenges to come.
