A year ago, Bina BioX started with one belief:
Nature holds answers and we just need to grow them wisely.

From ideas on paper
To mycelium taking shape 🌱
To real conversations about sustainability

This year taught us one thing:
innovation doesn’t rush, it grows.

Thank you to everyone who believed, supported, and asked,
“What is mycelium?”

This is only the beginning.
Here’s to growing bolder, thinking greener, and building impact naturally.

💚 Happy New Year from all of us at Bina BioX ✨

Last Saturday, something magical happened in a small room filled with curious minds.

Not a typical workshop. Not just another class.
But a moment where everyone paused… and imagined a future built from nature itself. 🍄✨

At the Future Grows Here: Mycelium Workshop, participants walked in as strangers, all from different industries and stories yet united by one question:
“What if sustainable materials could come alive?”

We explored the hidden world of mycelium, discovered how waste can become value, and watched ideas spark during every “Ohhh!” moment.

Then came the part everyone waited for.. sleeves up, gloves on : a hands-on session where participants shaped their own mycelium biocomposites. 🎨🍄
Some moulded with precision.
Some with curiosity.

All with excitement.

The room shifted during the open discussion. It wasn’t just Q&A! it was the beginning of real conversations, future collaborations, and new possibilities.

And when the workshop ended, each participant walked away with:
✨ A mycelium coaster they shaped themselves
✨ A certificate of attendance
✨ A spark to explore sustainable innovation even further

Thank you for growing this journey with us.

If you’re interested in joining a future workshop, just email us ❤️ we’ll add you to the list. 🌱✨

It was an amazing time for Bina BioX at the recent ADA Designer Conference: Envision 2025. What a collection of dreamers, go-getters, beautiful minds, hands, and souls — all coming together as leading voices in the industry to share topics from sustainable strategies to human-centered spaces that shape the future of design.

Our founder, Rajeswary Kandasamy, was approached by Gary Yeow (Unagru Architecture Urbanism) and Grace Lee to participate in a panel exploring how designers craft meaning and emotion through products that tell a story.

The panel, Design with Purpose: Crafting Stories Through Products, hosted by Gary, featured inspiring speakers including Dato’ Lewré Lew (Lewré Bespoke), Stephanie Ng (Stephanie Ng Design), Medy (OddMatters MY) and Rajeswary (Bina BioX Ventures).

Together, they spoke about sustainability, creative design, and products that spark meaning, emotion, and conversation. From using waste materials to igniting a new wave of design thinking, it was a genuinely exciting and energizing session.

Throughout the day, we also learned from so many incredible creatives in sessions covering Green Strategies for Sustainable Building & Design, Designing Human-Centered Spaces, and thought-provoking research shared by Dr. Kody Kato, among others.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of the human touch in design, innovation, and building a future driven by collective purpose. We’re proud to be part of a community that believes design can do more — and be more — for people and the planet.
