Tung Shin Hospital 同善医院 A Non-profit Hospital provides holistic healthcare through Western & Traditional Chinese Medicines

Tung Shin Hospital (formerly known as Pooi Shin Tong) is a 247-bedded charitable community hospital founded in 1881 by Kapitan Yap Kwan Seng. It turned into a Not For Profit Organization in 1894 and it is currently governed by a group of passionate philanthropists, a dedicated team of medical specialists and healthcare professionals. Tung Shin Hospital started as a clinic with 2 Traditional Chinese Medicine consultants that provided medical treatment and funeral expenses to the poor and needy. However, to cater to the needs of the community, Tung Shin Hospital started to roll out its Western Medical Care in 1985. This has set Tung Shin Hospital apart from other hospitals being one of the hospitals that provides comprehensive Western and Traditional Chinese Medical Care for patients.

As the monsoon and festive season approach, Tung Shin Hospital brought preventive care directly to the senior community this month by providing free influenza vaccinations at King George V Silver Jubilee Home, Rumah Charis, and Pusat Jagaan Orang Tua Cahaya Maju.🌧️

For older adults, the flu can lead to serious complications, including an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to safeguarding vulnerable communities — ensuring the elders are protected, valued, and cared for, always. 💙
