Strengthening Environmental Protection in Malaysia 🌏

Malaysia has officially passed the Amendment to the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974. This amendment strengthens the legal framework to ensure clearer authority, better governance, and more effective environmental management across the country.

Key highlights of the amendment include:
✔️ Empowering the Minister to suspend enforcement of certain provisions where necessary
✔️ Providing clearer regulatory authority, especially for Sabah and Sarawak
✔️ Improving governance and control of scheduled waste management
✔️ Strengthening Malaysia’s environmental protection framework

A stronger law means better protection for our environment, public health, and future generations.

As safety, health, and environmental practitioners, we must continue to support compliance, awareness, and responsible environmental practices in every workplace and community.

🦺 SAFETY SLOGAN CHALLENGE! 🔥

When it comes to safety, one voice is good… but a whole team shouting it out is even better! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Our OSH-C participants from **Batch 44** brought the energy, creativity, and team spirit as they delivered their safety slogans loud and proud. From serious reminders to fun and catchy chants, every group showed that promoting workplace safety can be both **meaningful and memorable**. 💪

The room was filled with laughter, cheers, and powerful messages — but one thing stayed clear throughout the session: **Safety is everyone’s responsibility.**

Because when safety becomes part of the culture, everyone goes home safe. 👍
