About the event:
Established in 2014, Skyhawk Nature Run (SNR) 2024 is the 6th Edition of this much anticipated road run. Unlike most of the city runs, SNR’s runners will be running amid of picturesque countrysides to appreciate the beauty of nature while enjoying the joys of running. Besides, some of the villagers will be helping in setting up water stations at their villages with own grown fruits to welcome runners. This year we will have 10km and 22km categories to welcome back our fellow runner friends. The Theme
The theme of Skyhawk Nature Run 2024 is “Back To NATURE RUN” which has two meanings. After the 4 years hiatus due to the pandemic, we are back by popular demand and would like to cordially inviting our fellow runners an friends to come “Back To (Skyhawk) Nature Run”. Besides, we are hoping that runners would be running “Back To Nature” at this beautiful course to appreciate the wonder of the mother nature. Organizer:

About the organizer:
This is a running event with the concept of “From Runners To Runners”. The organizer, Malacca Skyhawk Marathon Club (est. 1989) is an amateur running group in Melaka, which is dedicated in promoting active and healthy lifestyle among the community via distance running. Being runners ourselves, we fully understand the needs of runners in an running event, and are committed to provide best services for the participants within our capability. Date:

Distance:
10km and 22km ROAD Run. Participants:
Open to all Malaysian and international runners who are 16 year-old or older as of event day (Born 2008 or before). All the citizens and PR of Asian countries or expatriates with working permit are eligible to win prizes. Categories:
A. 22km Men Open (aged 16 years and above)
B. 22km Women Open (aged 16 years and above)
C. 22km Men Veteran (aged 45 years and above, born in 1979 or before)
D. 22km Women Veteran (aged 40 years and above, born in 1984 or before)
E. 10km Men Open (aged 16 years and above)
F. 10km Women Open (aged 16 years and above)
G. 10km Men Veteran (aged 45 years and above, born in 1979 or before)
H. 10km Women Veteran (aged 40 years and above, born in 1984 or before)
Registration fees:
Early birds (Before 31/8/2023): RM90 (22km); RM70(10km)
Normal rate : RM100 (22km); RM80 (10km)
Price is excluded service charge. Cut-Off Times:
Cut-off Times (COT) are 3 Hours 40 min for 22km category, and 2 Hours for 10km category. There will be several Checkpoints (CP) with respective COTs. Due to safety reasons, those runners who can’t make it to the checkpoints within cut off times will be stopped from continuing the race and disqualified. Sweeper vehicles will be provided for those who are disqualified. For 22km Category:
CP1 (6km): 1 Hour 15 min (6.45am)
CP2 (10km): 2 Hours (7.30am)
CP3 (13km): 2 Hours 30 min (8.00am)
CP5 (18km): 3 Hours 15 min (8.45am)
For 10km Category:
CP1 (3.5km): 40 min (7.10am)
CP2 (6km): 1 Hour 15 min (7.45am)

All registered participants of 22km Category are entitled for:

All the uncollected race kits will be deemed unwanted and therefore become the properties of the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to dispose or redistribute the items in any manner deemed appropriate. Running T-shirt;
Participants can choose their size and colour of Running T-shirt during registration. There are 2 colours of shirt to choose from, ie Turquoise Green and Bright Orange. Once chosen, changing of size or colour is strictly not allowed. For those runners who didn't indicate their choices, their T-shirts sizes will be assigned by organizer. Sizing Chart (Unisex)

Finisher T-shirt (For 22km Category only)
All runners in 22km category who successfully accomplish the run within 3H40min will be awarded with a Finisher T-shirt. Participants can choose their size of Finisher T-shirt during registration. Once chosen, changing of size is strictly not allowed. SNR2024 Skyhawk Trophy
All the Top-10 finishers of 22km and Top-5 Finishers of 10km will be rewarded with Skyhawk trophies. Finisher’s Medal:
All runners who successfully accomplish the run within 3H40min(22km category) or 2 Hours (10km category) will be awarded with a Finisher Medal. Water stations:
For 22km race: 7 water stations. For 10km race: 3 water stations. Light refreshment and water will be served at finish point. Medical support and first aid:
Ambulance with qualified paramedics will be allocated for the event. At least TWO experienced medical doctors will be on stand-by at the start/finish point. Roads condition
All tarmac and fairly well maintained roads. All the roads are well illuminated with plenty of street lamps, except for certain portions at km11.5-km13 which could be a bit dark before 6.50am. Hence, head lamp is advisable IF you are a fast runner (with average pace below 5min/km). Route Map & Elevation:
Personal Accident Insurance:
All registered runners will receive a complimentary Personal Accident Insurance (Group) coverage during the event, with benefits as below:
Accidental death: RM10,000/person
Permanent total disablement: RM10,000/person

*The organizer bears no liability for any consequences due to incorrect data provided by the participants. Rules & Regulations:
1. The Skyhwak Nature Run 2024 (“the event”) is organized by Malacca Skyhawk Marathon Club (“the organizer”)
2. The event is opened to all Malaysian and international runners who are 15 year-old or above as of event day (Born in 2005 or before).
3. All citizens of Asian countries,PR and expatriates with working permit are eligible to win cash prizes.
4. By signing up for and providing any information, participants are agree with the rules and regulations of the event. The organizer might post the name list of registration and full results of the event on website.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these rules and regulations of the Event from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in doing so, the Organizer will take into account the interests of all the affected participants.
6. Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment made. Registration fee is not refundable.
7. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Event race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time without prior notice to the Participant. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the date of the Event.
8. Whilst every reasonable measure will be taken by the organizer to ensure the safety of participants, all participants are running at their own risk. The organizer will not be responsible or hold liable to any injury or death arising during the race. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination before entering the race.
9. Cut-off time for the event is 3H40min.
10. The participants are required to provide correct personal particulars when signing up for the event.
11. The Organizer will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
12. All participants must wear their respective bibs in front of their vest throughout the event. The Organizer reserves the right to terminate any runner without a bib from continuing the event.
13. Bibs are strictly not transferable and not exchangeable, else considered disqualified and the organiser will not hold liable on any accident or injury.
14. The Organizer reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.
15. Participants who do not start within 20 minutes of respective flag off, for safety reasons may not be allowed to start and will be immediately disqualified.
16. The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the event baggage storage provided for the runners. The Organizer also reserves the right to check any item or baggage deposited.
17. Any unclaimed baggage 4 hours after flag-off of event will be deemed unwanted. The organiser reserves the right to dispose or redistribute the items in any manner deemed appropriate.
18. All participants who successfully complete the event before cut-off time will be awarded a finisher’s medal upon presentation of their bib number to the respective officials.
19. By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, and completion of the official entry form, including online registration, confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by these Rules and Regulations and the Privacy Policy.
