Dear all,
We would like to invite applicants for the research assistants/enumerators/spirometry enumerators for the RESPIRE project.

1) 4ccord projects (Estimating Chronic Respiratory Disease (Asthma and COPD) burden in adults in Asian low and middle-income countries: This is a cross-sectional community-based survey in Klang District, Malaysia including a questionnaire to detect the burden of respiratory symptoms and spirometry to measure lung function.

Employment status: Full time

Main responsibilities:

4ccord projects : You are expected to assist with and manage participant recruitment in Klang for the door-to-door questionnaire survey. You are also required to perform spirometry testing.

Other responsibilities

Administrative tasks like preparing agendas, coordinating research activities, organising meetings, and documenting meeting minutes are also part of the role.

Requirements:

1. Malaysian citizenship required

2. Medical graduates awaiting housemanship or Bachelor/master’s in science with a minimum CGPA of 3.0. Preference for health-related fields like biomedical science or nursing.

3. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and oral).

4. Efficient and independent research task

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in Redcap, SPSS, NVIVO preferred

6. Previous research experience, preferably in qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Have experience in data collection/engaging with the public, patients, healthcare professionals & policy makers.

7. Pleasant personality, hardworking, reliable, confident, honest, and able to work independently and in a team.

8. Transportation is required and candidates must be willing to travel to Klang district for data collection: Travel reimbursement will be provided solely for data collection purposes

9. For spirometry enumerators - Experience in using and handling spirometry equipment is required

10. Enumerator payments will be based on the daily work log provided to the project (Average RM 1,500-RM 2,000) .
