Is your child struggling silently? Many children don’t have the words to say, “I’m anxious.”
Instead, anxiety often shows up through small changes in behaviour — signs that can seem “normal” and easily overlooked by parents. Being aware of these early clues can help you support your child before anxiety grows stronger.
🌟Signs of Hidden Anxiety:
🤝 Clinginess or fear of being alone — suddenly wanting to be close to you all the time.
🤕 Stomach aches / headaches — especially without an obvious reason.
😴 Trouble sleeping or nightmares — difficulty falling asleep or waking up scared.
🤔 Constant “what if” worrying — repeatedly asking about unlikely dangers or outcomes.
💥 Irritability or emotional outbursts — getting upset easily over small things.
If these behaviours last more than 2 weeks or start affecting school, sleep, appetite, or daily activities, it may be time to seek professional support. Early intervention can make a big difference in your child’s emotional wellbeing.
