The PQNFM Part I and II is a two-part professional upgrade program for Associate Members to qualify as Ordinary (Full) Members of the Association of Nutritional and Functional Medicine Practitioners (ANFMP).

Part I is designed to build future practitioners’ capability to manage major chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

Part II aims to equip future practitioners with the ability to analyze and solve health problems as well as develop the capability to critically evaluate natural treatment decisions based on evidence-based knowledge and sound clinical experience.

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗞𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝟴 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

We had a full house during 8 March 2025 Improving Musculoskeletal Health program. The room filled with energy as the participants were eager to learn the effective movement patterns that would improve their posture and the foods and nutrients that support their bone, muscle and joint health.

Brian Chan, an experienced fitness professional in the area of strength building, muscle flexibility and mobility, kicked off the experiential part of the program with a short breathing exercise.

Tech neck occurs due to prolonged usage of electronic devices. Sedentary lifestyle leads to tight hips and poor joints mobility. Participants learnt the techniques to go into a relaxed state before engaging their bodies in movement patterns that would help correct their tech neck and tight hips.

Carynna Chen shared how food and nutrients that would support bone growth and strength as well as build healthy muscles and joints. She explained the importance of vitamins, minerals and hydration in improving musculoskeletal health.

UCYP University delegates, headed by its Vice Chancellor (VC), Y.B. Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd. Zain, visited DSY Medical Education Sdn Bhd – School of Complementary and Traditional Medicine (SCOTMED) on 26 February 2025.

Dato’ Sri Steve Yap, Chief Executive Officer and Ms Leong Yin Fun, Chief Operating Officer of SCOTMED welcomed Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi and his team of delegates. SCOTMED shared the potential of the wellness industry globally and development of Traditional & Complementary Medicine (T&CM) in the local landscape.

SCOTMED showcased the changes in candidates demographics of its flagship Professional Qualification in Nutritional and Functional Medicine (PQNFM) program over the past 5 years that illustrated the growing acceptance of Nutritional & Functional Medicine in the country as well as its future plans moving forward.

UCYP’s delegates were given a tour to DSY Wellness International Sdn Bhd before adjourning to a scrumptious lunch.

DSY Medical Education participated in the recent 10th International Conference on Traditional and Complementary Medicine (INTRACOM) entitled Traditional & Complementary Medicine (T&CM) in the Digital Age, which was held on November 27&28, 2024 at the National Institute of Health in Setia Alam, Selangor. Officiated by the Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Dzukefly Ahmad, the conference explored the integration of digital health technologies in Traditional & Complementary Medicine.

During the conference, medical doctors, researchers, pharmacists, dieticians and practitioners from other complementary modalities inquired about our Professional Qualification in Nutritional & Functional Medicine programs. We found their interest uplifting as it represents the growing awareness of the need for integrated medicine to achieve optimal health.

Datuk Seri Dr Zulkefly graced our booth, was delighted and encouraged us to continue our education efforts for the growth of T&CM in the country.
