They are three kinds of fatty acids that can only be gained through the food you consume. It means that your body doesnt have the ability to produce itself, and the deficiency symptoms will be soon after you miss them in the diet.
When it comes to the Omega 3 fatty acids, they perform a unique duty in facilitating so many structural and elemental tasks. For example, Omega 3 fatty acids help improve calcium during absorption while it binds the bones with its bonding ability.
There are three main types of Omega Three fatty acids, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), and ALA (alpha-linolenic acid).
EPA
It is the most common ingredient in the Omega 3 fatty acids. It helps individuals to avoid inflammation disorders. Also, it has been found that EPA is an antioxidant that helps the body to absorb and dump toxins from the body. When it comes to mental health, EPA performs a unique duty as well.
DHA
As a major element in the cell membrane, DHA allows individuals to take good skincare. Lacking symptoms indicate increased skin damage, none skin recovery, and the loss of skin glowing. If you intend to improve skin quality, DHA will be the one you need to be looking for.
ALA
Even though the specific biological purpose of the ALA fatty acid is not much, it can convert into the other types of fatty acids, DHA and EPA. However, it is essential to know that the conversion rate is less than any other fatty acid in the body. That is why the ALAL content is used as an energy-providing substance by the human body.
