Marking another step forward in advanced cardiac care at Penang Adventist Hospital.

On 7 April 2026, Dr. Saravanan A/L Krishinan (SDK), Visiting Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist, together with our dedicated Cath Lab team, successfully performed a Pulsed Field Ablation procedure for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

This advanced procedure delivers precise electrical pulses to target abnormal heart tissue responsible for irregular rhythms, helping to restore a normal heartbeat while minimising impact on surrounding structures. It enables more efficient treatment with encouraging safety and recovery outcomes. With less impact on surrounding tissues, patients may benefit from shorter procedure times, quicker recovery, and a lower risk of complications, allowing them to return to daily life with greater confidence and improved heart rhythm control.

This achievement reflects more than just clinical success. It represents the strength of teamwork, precision, and our ongoing commitment to delivering advanced, patient-centred care to the community.

It was a truly meaningful and inspiring Sunday at our Community Health Ambassador (CHA) Appreciation Ceremony 2026.

The event was held to recognise our Community Health Ambassadors and valued stakeholders for their dedication and commitment to supporting community health initiatives across Penang.

Since July 2024, our CHA programme has grown from 175 ambassadors to 363 by December 2025, achieving 188% of its targeted growth. Together, our ambassadors have reached over 9,500 individuals through outreach initiatives and health screenings, promoting awareness and encouraging healthier lifestyles within the community.

We were honoured to be joined by Yang Berhormat Daniel Gooi 魏子森, whose strong support continues to champion community-driven healthcare efforts across Penang.
